Turmeric has been around even before MaskerAide began (2012), and while it is a great spice to have in your pantry, it also is beneficial for your skin. Curcumin is a natural ingredient found in turmeric. It helps brighten dark spots and softens and reduces fine lines on your skin. “A 2014 study found curcumin can help speed up the healing of wounds, and another found that the compound boosts collagen production, diminishes psoriasis, and protects against free radicals and sun damage.”

Last but not least, rice. Not only is rice great for sushi (lol), it is also beneficial for your skin. Two birds, one stone indeed! Rice has anti-aging, antioxidant and anti-inflammatory properties. In addition, rice helps get rid of dark spots and combats the harmful effects of the UV rays. Rice or rice extract is commonly infused in toners, creams and sheet masks.
