Hacks to Rescue Your Skin After a Crazy Friday Night

A lot of things can be said and done Friday night, but that doesn’t mean your skin has to suffer! Here’s some simple hacks for your skin!

HACK #1: The first thing you can do to hydrate your skin is by hydrating your body. Most of the pimples we wake up to in the morning are because of internal issues going on! After a crazy night of one too many cranberry vodkas - it’s important to hydrate your body with plenty and PLENTY of water! H2O is your best friend in this situation. Try your best to drink up to 12 glasses of water - don’t do it all at once though, try to span it out over a 12-hour period.

You can also consume drinks high in electrolytes like sports drinks - however watch out for the sugar content because that could also cause breakouts. Opting for herbal tea is a good alternative as the caffeine will keep you perked up. You could also add fresh fruit as its high in fluids and your body will thank you!

TIP: Try adding slices of fruit like limes, lemons, and cucumbers! It promotes hydration and is a great source of vitamin C and will improve your skin quality and aids digestion.

HACK #2: Once you get back home/hotel/wherever you’re staying - take off your makeup! No matter how tired you are, you must take off your makeup and wash your face. When you sleep with your makeup on, your pores become more clogged and this could result in micromedone, which lures in acne-causing bacteria.

TIP: LET’S FACE IT is a mild but mighty multi-cleanser that works to cleanse, balance, and nourish the skin for a fresh faced clean. It’s 100% natural, handmade, and vegan. Free from parabens, synthetic preservatives, artificial fragrances and pigments!

HACK 3: Let’s be honest doing your entire skincare routine while you’re tipsy is not for everyone that’s why we’ve shorten it to 2 steps - once you take off your makeup, you can skip the toner and the essence by putting on an jojoba oil!

If you have combination or oily skin, don’t be afraid to smear oil on your face! Jojoba oil moisturizes the skin all day and it contains antibacterial properties to help control bacterial growth! It also acts as an anti-inflammatory agent, soothing irritated skin.
